Dr. Jerry Perkins is a pianist whose many performances throughout the United States have earned him a reputation as a talented interpreter of a wide variety of music. Both as a solo artist and as a chamber musician he has captivated audiences and critics alike with a brilliant technique and a keen sense of style.
2011 heralds the the release of 2 volumes of Perkins’ Piano Works. These recordings, compiled from the past 30 years of his performing career, have been selected by Dr. Perkins as favorites among his unreleased performances. The music is available on traditional Compact Disc format as well as digital download (or both should you prefer.) Volume 1 contains the W.A. Mozart Concerto in E-flat Major, K. 482 and E. MacDowell Concerto in d minor. Both performances were recorded live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Volume 2 contains four Polenaises by Chopin and Lizst’s Hungarian Rhapsody #13 recorded in Knoxville, TN in 1985 as well as a collection of material by Jeno Takács recorded live in Eisenstadt, Austria in 1987.
